Start-up Membership

In partnership with Firstport, we've created a new membership category for Start Up Social Enterprises. This is designed to be an affordable option to support the newest social enterprises in their first two years. See our current list of start-up members here.

Who is this type of membership for?

This membership category is for social enterprises which meet the following criteria:

The organisation must be less than 1 year old.
The organisation must be a new entity. Established organisations becoming a social enterprise will not be eligible.
The applicant must have or be working towards an appropriate legal structure.

What is different about this type of membership?

This membership category has all the benefits of full membership at a reduced one-off cost of £65 which covers membership for 2 years, after which you can choose to become a full member. Start-up members are not eligible to vote at General Meetings.

There is also a unique benefit for Start-Up members which offers a mentoring service from suitable experienced social enterprises.

How do I become a member?

Simply email us at hello@socialenterprisescotland.org.uk or call 0131 243 2653 and request an application form. Once you return the completed form, we'll send you an invoice for the £65 fee.
